000 NEW - Cloud based Licensing

Overview

  • We are moving to a Cloud based license method.
  • We are removing the old Network and Standalone methods.
  • For existing Network clients, this mean no more more server side installation or management.

  • For existing Standalone clients, this means flexibility of floating license. No more releasing keys when you upgrade PC or hardware.

  • We aim to have all clients moved to the new Cloud Licensing by September 2023

  • When renewing you keep the existing license key, so no more entering a new key. Once payment is made Bonus Tools will work again.

  • Adding seats, easy, once payment is made you I will add the licenses, all you need to do is install Bonus Tools.


Upgrade method

  1. Uninstall the old version, ensuring this folder has been removed: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\BonusTools.bundle

    1. If not please delete
  2. Please find the latest build here: Autodesk Exchange Apps or KiwiCodes portal. IMPORTANT: from Bonus Tools-20-23-02-04. Previous had and issue with Revit 2022 and BIM 360.

  3. Please see here to activate: KC License Activation

  4. The License Manager Viewer is available to login to at the below address

  5. You will need to create an account with your BT Activation Key.
  6. This is a progressive web app so it can be installed onto your system for future easy access. for more info on how to do that follow this link.

Commonly asked Questions

  • What does blacklisting do?

    • Black listing is a way of blocking access to selected staff who have left or you no longer what to give access to Bonus Tools.
  • How I can add users?

    • User are added as you install Bonus Tools and license them. 

  • How do I remove people from the Licensing?

    • Either black list them, and/or remove BT from their PC.
    • You can not remove people whilst they have a checked out license. There is a release feature for when a License has been checked out for more 14 days.
  • Does Bonus Tools work offline?

    • Yes, Bonus Tools allows for 7 days off line access.
  • A user show as active here https://licensemanager.kiwicodes.com/but they do not have Revit open, how do I remove them?

    • This happens when Revit does not close correctly ether via a crash etc. OR the user does not close Revit and takes a laptop off line.
